  • ½ kg chicken or tender mutton
  • 2 cups basmathi rice , aged
  • 3 ¼ to 3 ½ cups water
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as needed
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp bolshy chili powder
  • 1 tomato medium
  • 1/2 cup curd / yoghourt / dahi
  • 1 tsp rose water or kewra
